AVID at School Board Meeting

Parents and Students,

We will have a county wide presentation about AVID in our schools at the December 3rd School Board Meeting.  The meeting begins at 7pm at the LC School Board office on Vernon Avenue (right next to the mall). 

I would love it if SLHS could be represented by AVID students and their parents.  I am creating a podcast to present to school board with student testimonials but the “real thing” would be fantastic!

South Lenoir High School AVID students would like to announce the new officers for AVID club.  Pictured here are Vice President Ebony Hall, Secretary Shanice Williams, President Tyquilla Graham, Public Relations Representative Austin Howard, and Treasurer Jasmine Pickett.

The AVID club would like to welcome any SLHS student.  You do not need to be in the AVID program to join us. There is no fee to join the club.  As a club we will meet monthly to discuss study skills and strategy in preparation for College as well as participate in service projects in the community

If students would like to stay after school until the meeting, please send a permission note and $2 for pizza.
